Secret Wars WelcomeSecret Wars: Secret Wars is a D&D 3.5 Lvl 6 Gestalt Game
This game is not for new players. You must have a firm grasp of the 3.5 rules and at least some experience in a play by post format.
Will accept the first 4 fully completed and fleshed out characters that are submitted.
--------------------------------
For every beginning there is an end.
The great powers have come together to form a new branch of the multiverse. Sampling bits and peices frommultiple worlds they carve their masterpeice. Unknonw to most though the multiverseis not truly infinite. In order to form their new universe some others must be destroyed. Their energy fused back into the whole.
To decide which universe must die the beings have devised a test. From each of four multiverse a champion has been chosen. They will be tried and weighed. The winner will save his universe and be granted power. The losers and everything they've ever known will be destroyed.

.................................

To be included in this game you need a fully completed character, including at least a couple paragraphs of character background.

Who is this adventurer? Where are they from? What turned them to a life of adventuring? What have they been up to, to reach their current level?

The background should not include the current story. The character will be thurst into it with no warning.

character creation rules can be found in the wiki for the Secret Wars game.

 Huh
Is this an RP game?

It sounds interesting...but I'm very confused as to the type of game... Undecided

I guess basically what I"m asking is if you're wanting a background or are you just wanting the sheet w/ no fluff what-so-ever?

(edit)
Stat generation, etc?

Hmmm I thought I typed that part up.

Yes you need a background.

My GM style for PbP is simple. I let you write your own story. This game will mostly be 2-3 solo adventures going on at the same time. Especially to start since you won't be running through together, unless you find each other in the dungeon and decide to team up.

I am not going to be throwing things at you based on your backgrounds. I'm going to be setting stages and letting you showcase your character through the story as you see fit. We'll do this a little differently depending on the situation.

For example say you have what I feel is a minor combat encounter. Something that should be easy for you. We won't play that as a round by round combat. I might make a couple rolls to see if anyone get's in a lucky shot but aside from that we'll determine ahead of time that you'll win the fight, and let you write out the narrative of the fight as you see fit.

In another instance say the fight is more dangerous. We'll roll out say 2-3 rounds of combat in the rolling thread, then let you go bakc into the IC and write out the action in narrative form.

Like my last gestalt game, you'll need not just the ability to do the crnch, you'll need to be able to write a little bit as well.

This being the third time I've done this now though I already know not to expect backgrounds yet. You guys will all mostly get bogged down for 2 weeks trying to get your crunch done before I even start to see backgrounds. Smiley

Is this a Player vs. Player? If not, then I'm certainly in. I'll get to work as soon as possible!

Nyt: There's only PvP if you choose to try and smack a PC. Just like any game. At the same time I am not frowning on it. This game is meant to be played more as 2-4 solo adventures than as a team game.

BUT if you happen to meet another PC in the dungeon and decide to work together I imagine the dungeon will be much easier for you both. If you decide it will be easier for you to win if you eliminate or slow down the other PC then I won't stop you from doing that either.

Having said that, unless you do find a PC in the dungeon willing to help you I would suggest making your character as self sufficient as you can. The reason we went gestalt is so that you all have the opportunity to make them as flexible as you can within the rules given.

I imagine every character will need to be able to deal with traps in some way, and heal in some way. Even if that means having so many hit points that you're not worried about either occurance.

-------
TT: Yes, magic and psionics are interchangeble.
