Translation work is too easy to manipulate and twist. Take the occasional bout of Shingles that adults must put up with. There is a name for it in Norwegian, and you can translate between that name and Shingles all you wish. Or you could make a literal translation of the Norwegian name, which is "Hellfire disease." It's all in the translator's hands, and thus too easy to toy with.
