Out of curiosity mostly, I was looking at the Gestalt rules, and it doesn't say anything about Feats.. how do you handle that with Gestalt? Still just the 1 every 3 levels and whatnot? Or do you get it for both classes?

I'm pretty sure it's the same 3 every level, plus whatever class bonus feats both may or may not give.

Ultimately, I would think that it should be determined by the DM of that particular campaign.
If a DM only has a few players, and it was a high level campaign (not just one simple adventure), I believe that having an extra feat would help, but with the addition of two classes for one level (old school version of multi-classing) and limiting class choices to the base classes, it would be necessary.

Simple put, two classes for each character level with only one feat vs. two would mean the second class is not as useful and /or configurable for the successful completion of the campaign.
Remember the base need for Gestalt characters are to allow a "few" players to enjoy and complete a "normal" adventure.

I have been kicking around an "Idea" for a campaign (just started on this site and have not DM'ed nor played in over ten years), and was considering both the use of a Gestalt character base as well as Bloodlines.
Using a home rule such as, at third level, get two feats, but each tailored toward the specific classes, as well as both classes getting full skills each level (otherwise the skills for the so called support class are useless, or the character cannot do anything well at mid level).

Imaging a Fighter/Rouge who fails each attempt at picking a lock or finding a trap because he sunk a few skill points into Intimidation and Bluff for a rather cool Fighter Feat. Game over rather quickly, and no one has much fun.

Just my quick take, but then I am still getting up to date with the 3.5 rules.
