I don't know where else to put this, but has anyone else noticed that the chat roller tends to be really high? I was realizing that the other day. Perhaps something wrong with the rolling odds and probabilities?

Because I was having my people roll 4d6's for their stats.. and both of them ended up with like.. 17, 17, 14, 14, 14, 12.... and shit like that. Even after I made them do test sets as well. I had to make them go into an AIM chat to get non-godly rolls.

Well, the chat rolls can be spoofed. So they could have been acting a little "competitive" Wink

I need to add some sort of anti cheat in there.

Eh, even my rolls were above average. Not as good as theirs.. but still above average. But yeah, just figured I would give some input, see if anyone else shared my beliefs on the roller.

I'm curious about how it's possible to cheat using a dice roller like this (the problem is that if I found out, it will make it look as though I want to cheat Sad).

Thanks for making me look untrustworthy. Tongue Being serious, thanks for telling me. Will it be too hard to get rid of that feature?

No, I just need to adjust the code somewhat to prevent that.

Easy way would be to simply alter the roller to post in a different font colour than the /me, I suppose.

Silly Theik... the men are talking here. Run along....

So ANYWAY... PK, I was thinking earlier today... Instead of changing a bunch of shit, wouldn't it just be easier to change the dice roller font to something different than the /me font?   Grin

That could work (I think disabling that feature altogether would probably be the best option in case the colour can somehow be changed).

You can't change the colour of a /me, and disabling /me altogether is a bit silly. It's a win option.

Yes, a simple formatting alteration is all thats required- just need to take the time to do it - but not many (meaning zero) chat games being played so its not really a priority.
