Just ran into a brand new thing for me.  Created a new character then clicked on Save.  Rather than getting a confirmation of the saving and usual options page the system simply gave me a new and empty character sheet.  Backing up I could access the character I'd made, but it just won't seem to save to the database.

Yeah, the token issue is everywhere, it seems.

One thing, don't know if this helps you or not, but PK said that if you have multiple tabs up and access them as you post or add stuff to the site, that has more of a chance of losing your token.

Not an excuse, just something you can try and be aware of. (Sucks for me because I am a big multi-tasker.  Tongue )

Yes, the token is the likely culprit. I only put the 'token error message' on the message boards but all post forms use a token. Not a hard fix but this week became real busy and the weekend looks a little packed too. I'll step up the priority for this fix though.

Sweet.  Although limiting myself to a single window is troublesome, it does work.  Evil evil tokens. . .

Yeah - didn't design around multi-taskers. You can have multiple tabs open, just not more than one form - which a character that belongs to you is a form. Someone else's character should not be.

OK multi-taskers, see if its working correctly now.

I'm not sure if the session will time out yet but I suspect that the token was your real problem. I didn't set a session expiration so it should default until the browser window closes.

Just gave it a quick shot of saving a new character with multiple windows to the site open.  No apparent problems.  If any pop up we'll be sure to bitch and moan about it instantly. Cheesy

If the DM is laughing, it's already too late.

I've found it's not working for me.  I got lost online, browsing through facebook, and then purchasing some D&D shirts when I realized I still had my character I was working on still open in another tab.  Went back, hit save, no clams.

OK, still looks like its timing out - thats not a token issue I believe. I'll see what can be done to extend the session or at least alert you to the expiration.

Bah!  Don't worry about it then - I was only mentioning it because I thought it might've been important.  An alert sounds great, but if it's easier, perhaps just a cautionary message stating how long a session lasts before timeout could work just as well.
