Violence in Vehemen

D&D 3.5 Edition Campaign

 Welcome to Vehemen.

Violence is not simply a by-product of choices made throughout the day, nor is it a ripple in the actions of people who cannot begin to fathom their meanings.

No, in Vehemen, violence is a way of life.  And for those few who attempt to forsake that way don't survive for very long.

Senseless and without purpose, murder is a common occurence encouraged by officers of law.  It controls the population and ensures the survival of the fittest.

Although at one time the stench of death assaulted the senses of everyone, clean air is now a foreign smell.

Vehemen is a dynamic town, set in the middle of nowhere, where every action generally has an unequal reaction--and not generally in favor of the player.  Adversity is the name of the game, and reprieve is a word foreign to the inhabitants of the violent town.  But do not be discouraged.  It is up to you to either embrace or end the corruption and mayhem.  Kill people because you can, because you want to.  Or save people in an effort to turn the town around.  The choice is, and always will be, yours.

Source materials: try to stick to the core rulebooks.  A lot of us don't have time to reference other sourcebooks.  Especially obscure ones.

Play any alignment you want.  But remember that life will be easier if you embrace the ways of Vehemen, and your existence will be challenged daily if you choose to uphold any good virtue.
